Summer Face

With summer just a couple of weeks away, I wanted to try out some new products for my face that wouldn't hide away my complexion. So off to Boots I went with my money and saw that Revlon were having a 3 for 2 offer (I also got a nail varnish but isn't relevant to this post).

Hearing such good things about BB Creams, I decided to try the Revlon Photoready BB Cream in 010 Light Pale which was the lightest colour that they had. With SPF 30 built in, it's good for the summer sun (if we get any in the UK!) and leaves a really light coverage which is just enough to cover the redness in my skin but also make me look naturally even toned. I really see the hype over BB Creams, they are genuinely great products, and I can see myself using this Revlon one as a holy grail item haha.
It wasn't too badly priced either, it was £9.99 which I think is quite reasonable seeing the quality of the finish, it fares well against the higher end products.

I also wanted to try out a new mascara as I've been using MaxFactor's 2000 Calorie mascara for a good few years. The Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara (wow what a mouthfull!) seemed to have some good reviews online so I thought I'd give it a go. I love the smell, weird thing to comment on but it doesn't have that gross plastic smell that other mascaras and the brush is so big so I kinda have to be careful not to completely cover my eyelid with mascara haha, I think it's a good mascara and really covers my lashes well. Also £9.99 a tad more on the expensive side for a mascara but I like it so I think it's worth it.

This past week has gone by so quickly! I had my spanish speaking exam on Monday which I am trying not to think about. People think that just because I am half-venezuelan and have been speaking spanish since I was little, I will instantly be amazing and don't have the right to be nervous like everyone else, but I do get nervous, I feel like there's more pressure on me to be better which makes me so much more nervous! argh! Plus it's not like I'd know how to talk about some of the topics e.g Nuclear Energy, in English nevermind Spanish.
I have also discovered my enabling abilities. I am so good at making other people spend their money haha, better theirs than mine ey!

How has your week been?

B*tch Please - Wishlist

B*tch Please

Jacket, Jeans, Necklace, Nail Varnish, Cropped Tee - Topshop // Tote - Zara // Dr Martens - Dr Martens

Just a little wishlist set that I've put together.
I've been desperate for a pair of good Dr Martens, I just think they add an edge to any sophisticated outfit and make it grungy (if you class that as a word...) I went for the coat and bag because they are quite clean cut which I can mix and match with other garments to create a different look.
A huge trend last season was 'mom jeans', I personally love it because I always go for high-waisted anything - longer legs and slimmer looking waist, what's not to love? The colour of these are perfect, can I just have them already?! I stuck to my go-to shop; Topshop. I mean, it's just so much easier than searching for hours on other websites for something that you're not sure will look right and just cause a problem rather than making you happy.
I'm thinking a big trend is jungle, not animal prints but an ethnic/jungle inspired theme running throughout the wardrobe. Personally, I'm ever-changing with my style, I can decide to change my style each day, I never really wear one specific 'genre' of clothing...

Anyway a definite wishlist for me, now if I could gather the funds this would all be miiiiinneeee.
Just trying to remember that material items aren't everything, it's very difficult when they're so pleasing.
Ugh :/

Hope you're having a good day!

Pinafore Pinafore

Topshop - £42.00 (without student discount)

Sorry for the cheesy and bad quality photo, I have a hard time finding someone to take my pictures. Basically I really wanted to join in with the pinafore/dungaree trend and I tried on this pinafore in the shop and fell in love. The paisley print makes it fun yet also quite smart (excuse my rubbish vocabulary, I'm writing this quickly as I'm busy revising and such).
I feel like you can wear anything with it and still look great :) Also, can I just say how happy I was that this was in my size?! I've created a fitness regime that I want to stick to as I'm adamant that I will lose weight and get fitter.

Hope you're having a great week!

Scoffing my face.

Today my mother and I went into town to run a few errands and we bumped into a food stall in the centre of town. They were selling lovely italian biscuits and fresh food. We had to buy some! I just wanted to share the beautiful colours of them with you guys :)

Hope you've had a good weekend,

The Marmite Shoes

DSC_0068

Topshop - £34.00

In February, I went to the big Topshop in Leeds and was quite impressed with the scale of the shop, it was pretty big! It's right next to the new trinity shopping centre although that wasn't open when I went. I saw these shoes and really liked them, although I do feel like a lot of people wouldn't get them. Being a flatform, they give height along with being comfortable, plus they look really cute with some frilly white socks that I am not currently in possession of. I tried to browse the website to see if there was a link that I could show but they don't seem to be available any more :( However, don't fret, if you like them, there are a couple of shoes in a similar style on the Topshop website like here, here,  or a non-flatform equivalent here

Anyway, in my life at the moment I've been reading a lot, designing my final piece for art (which is such a drag right now) and discovering new music that I love. Also my family decided to come over from NC, America over the last week and it was so lovely to see them :)

Hope you're having a good Easter if you celebrate it (I don't but I still got some chocolate hehe)
